God is still speaking,

Advertisement Campaign for UCC starts and hits a snag...

Looks like two networks (NBC and CBS) have declined to run the advertisement as "too controversial". (UCC press release is here)

The advertisements began on December 1st, 2004 (just not on NBC and CBS). The websites for the UCC (www.ucc.org) and the Still Speaking initiative (www.stillspeaking.com) have been a bit overloaded with all the interest, so please have patience when accessing those sites.

News stories about the controversy have appeared:

San Jose Mercury News (page 8A - note: may require membership in mercurynews.com to view)

The Northern California/Nevada Conference of UCC now has a current status page and a current news forum (you don't have to register to view the items, only to post new messages).

The UCC News room is also tracking the story.
